Accounting firm consolidator UHY Advisors named Jana Carpenter as director of sales for the multi-practice concern, based here. A 25-year veteran in leadership and consulting roles for several Fortune 500 companies, Carpenter most recently was vice president of sales and marketing for Annapolis, Md.-based corporate restructuring specialist FTI Consulting. At FTI, she oversaw sales activities for litigation and economic consulting, as well as firm-wide marketing initiatives. Prior to FTI, she led her own consulting firm, developing sales and marketing communications programs for Baxter Healthcare, Bank of America and Hewlett-Packard. Her background also includes a stint at former Big Five firm Arthur Andersen, where she spearheaded sales initiatives in the firm's tax and audit practices, and served as director of sales for their center for professional education. UHY Advisors was formerly known as Centerprise.
