Armanino merges in QlikView reseller

Details: San Ramon-based Top 100 Firm Armanino McKenna has expanded its QlikView practice by merging in San Mateo-based Factory Information Management Solutions, a certified solutions provider of QlikView business intelligence technology, creating a dominant QlikView provider on the West Coast.

Foss merges with Sweeney Kovar

Details: Mary Kay Foss, CPA, has merged her tax practice with the Danville CPA firm of Sweeney Kovar LLP, joining the firm as a director. She has more than 30 years of practical experience in advising clients about retirement, income and estate planning issues.

Bonadio acquires ParenteBeard's Syracuse office

Details: The Bonadio Group has acquired ParenteBeard's branch office in Syracuse, N.Y., which will add nearly $3 million in firm revenues, 21 employees, and four new partners. The Bonadio Group will increase its headcount to 55 in the Syracuse region, and more than 375 across upstate New York. Bonadio plans to move its current Syracuse office to the existing ParenteBeard location.

GBQ merges in Condit and Associates

Details: Condit and Associates LLC has joined GBQ Partners LLC, a large tax, accounting and consulting firm based in Columbus. Westerville-based Condit and Associates specializes in credit union clients. Gary Condit and his team of seven have joined GBQ's 35-person assurance group. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Skoda Minotti acquires marketing firm

Details: Skoda Minotti has acquired Cleveland marketing firm Hilty Moore & Associates Inc. along with the company's visual marketing division, BrandEyeD.Among the professionals joining Skoda Minotti are HM&A managing partner John Moore and BrandEyeD president John Kallmeyer.

MNP to merge in Stern Cohen Shier

Details: MNP LLP, one of Canada's largest chartered accounting and consulting firms, plans to merge in Stern Cohen Shier Inc., an insolvency firm based in the Toronto area, effective Sept. 1.

SCS president Rob Shier and his team will remain in their current Toronto headquarters location for the time being. Financial terms of the merger were not disclosed.

TEXAS

Weaver merges with Killman Murrell

Details: Top 100 Firm Weaver LLP has merged in the Midland office of Killman, Murrell & Co. PC. Founded in 1987 in Odessa, Killman Murrell has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Wayne Murrell has joined Weaver as a partner in Weaver's tax and strategic business services practice. Financial terms of the merger were not disclosed.

BKD acquires Parrish, Moody & Fikes

Details: Top 100 Firm BKD has acquired Waco-based Parrish, Moody & Fikes, expanding its presence in Texas, particularly with health care clients. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. PMF will bring approximately 50 team members, including partner Michael Oatman, to BKD.

WASHINGTON

LarsonAllen merges in LCR

Details: Seattle firm Lockitch Clements & Rice PS has joined Minneapolis-based Top 100 Firm LarsonAllen LLP, continuing LarsonAllen's recent expansion to the Pacific Northwest. LCR, which incorporated in 1973, will move its office into LarsonAllen's current Seattle area location, bringing a staff of 17, including nine CPAs.

WASHINGTON, D.C.

Chortek & Gottschalk acquires Martin & Wall

Details: Milwaukee-based Chortek & Gottschalk has acquired the Washington, D.C., CPA firm Martin & Wall, which will become a division of the firm focused on serving independent federal agencies, charter schools and nonprofits.
