BLYTHECO SELLS SAGE 300 BUSINESS TO BRAINSELL

Laguna Hills, Calif. -- Top Sage partner Blytheco has effectively sold its Sage 300 ERP practice to Topsfield, Mass.-based VAR BrainSell Technologies. BrainSell will be taking over the practice and its 35-customer base, with Blytheco still engaged in some marketing and BrainSell conducting sales and implementation. Blytheco still retains Sage 100 and X3 on the ERP side of the business, and also represents NetSuite for cloud ERP. The firm made the move as it was looking to invest more in other existing product areas.

 

NET@WORK LAUNCHES NFP PRACTICE WITH HUCKSTEP BUY

New York -- Reseller Net@Work has launched a nonprofit reseller practice with the purchase of Huckstep & Associates -- one of Sage North America's leading nonprofit partners. The Springfield, Mo.-based firm will retain all of its staff, with managing member Jeannie Huckstep becoming Net@Work's nonprofit practice director. The firm also has an office in Okemos, Mich.; the two offices served approximately 350 nonprofit and public sector agencies in 35 states. Net@Work had wanted to better serve nonprofit customers, but needed a strategic purchase to do so effectively.

 

BAASS MERGES WITH AXIS

Thornhill, Ont. -- Canada's largest Sage reseller, BAASS Business Solutions, has merged with Axis Global Partners, creating an $18 million firm. The purchase will help form one of the largest Sage partners in North America and establish the first official U.S. presence for BASSS. Axis Global will now be known as BAASS Business Solutions, but plans to retain all of its offices and staff, with founding partner Manny Buigas becoming vice president and managing partner of U.S. territories for BAASS. The union also brings on Axis Global's NetSuite business.

 

ALTERNATIVE LAUNCHES SALESFORCE PROGRAM

Aliso Viejo, Calif. -- Alternative Technology Solutions Inc. is now offering Manufacturing Quick Start for Salesforce, a new service designed to allow mid-market manufacturing companies to rapidly and cost-effectively implement Salesforce.com. The program is available for remote and onsite delivery with packages starting at just $6,000 for five days (remote).
