Every year, accounting software provider Xero recognizes partners—both firms and software providers—that have demonstrated excellence in different areas. Here are this year’s winners:

Partnership Impact

This is a new award, and for 2017, the winners are Beyond Balanced Books, a firm based in Morgan Hill, California, and HubDoc, a document management software provider based in Toronto, Canada and Sydney, Australia.

The Partnership Impact award is given to partners that demonstrated “significant impact to a mutual small business client through collaboration, out-of-the-box thinking and a high-level customer centric approach,” according to Xero. Beyond Balanced Books used the Xero-HubDoc integration over the past year to achieve efficiencies for clients, to great success.

“Since 2014, we’ve worked closely with Xero to help advisors and their small business clients make the shift to the cloud,” said Jamie Shulman, co-founder and co-CEO of Hubdoc, in a statement. “We believe in the power of the cloud accounting ecosystem, and the value it can provide to customers.”

Rewiring the Economy through Service

This award goes to an individual or firm that has shown a commitment to their community, and “rewiring” the economy through pro bono or volunteer work to underserved businesses or individuals in need. This year’s award went to Cloud Accounting & Consulting.

This award celebrates a partner who has shown innovation through the use of 100 percent cloud technology. This year’s award went to Bean Counter 4 Hire.

“We believe in small business entrepreneurship so much that we want to help anybody we can be as successful as they want to be,” owner Michael Levy told Xero.

The firm provides advisory services, which begins with creating an action plan with a client to help identify goals and develop KPIs, which are then tracked through Xero and Fathom, a custom reporting app.
