HLB International will launch a series of tax webinars aimed at introducing doing business in the countries the network is established in. The series will start with a “Doing Business in Australia” webinar on November 20th.

NEW YORK

WeiserMazars LLP, New York, will make interest free loans to its staff members who were effected by Hurricane Sandy. The Firm has designated $250,000 of its funds for the Hurricane Loan Program. The maximum loan per employee will be $5,000 and repayment will begin 90 days after the loan (payable in 24 equal monthly installments). The firm also kicked off a Hurricane Relief Fund. Where the firm requested that each partner contributes a minimum of $500 to the fund. The goal is to raise more than $100,000 for the Relief Fund. The firm is accepting checks payable to the Weiser Philanthropic Fund and can be sent to John Porricelli in New York. The firm also set up a Weiser Philanthropic Fund PayPal account. WISCONSIN
