CohnReznick Foundation donates $150K at 25th Anniversary Golf Invitational

CohnReznick announced on Friday that through the CohnReznick Foundation and CohnReznick CARES initiative, the firm donated a grand total of $150,000 to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF) and the Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation for its 25thAnniversary Charity Golf Invitational, held June 13 at Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City, N.J.

Over the past 25 years, the Golf Invitational has raised more than $2.5 million for charity organizations, CohnReznick says, with more than $1.6 million of which going to SOWF and the Safe at Home Foundation.

Capital One Commercial Banking was the presenting sponsor of the Invitational, which saw more than 100 golfers and special guests. Other sponsors included Lord Abbett, Quattuor Capital Partners of Raymond James, and Zenith Marketing Group.

The CohnReznick Foundation looks to support children in need, from infants to college students.SOWFprovides college scholarship grants, financial aid, and counseling to children of Special Operations personnel who died in operational mission or training accident. TheJoe Torre Safe At Home Foundationis involved in ending domestic violence and loss of life via Margaret's Place and other programs, including school-wide anti-violence campaigns and educational forums for school staff and parents.

CohnReznick spokesperson and 2014 Baseball Hall of Fame inductee Joe Torre was on-hand for morning activities, offering his appreciation and thanking attendees for their support and charity.

Donation checks were presented to both charities by Frank Longobardi, CEO of CohnReznick; Ken Young, president of the CohnReznick Foundation; and John Corsaro, a CohnReznick partner and chairman of the outing.

“To be in the position to host this very special 25thanniversary event is something that we are extremely proud of as a firm. Everyone here shares in our commitment to supporting the tireless efforts of these two special charities,” said Longobardi, per a statement.

Steve Adubato, Emmy Award-winning PBS anchor was the evening's master of ceremonies and conducted a live auction that included prizes such as seats in the WB Mason luxury box at Yankee Stadium, a luxury trip to Nevis, and a three-day exclusive golf trip for two with airfare.
