“We are proud to present our 2016 Excel Awards to these outstanding young professionals,” said Todd Shapiro, CEO of the ICPAS, in a statement. “Passing the CPA Exam is a tremendous achievement on its own, and to do so with such high scores is an incredible accomplishment that few achieve. We congratulate them and look forward to their journey in becoming future leaders of our profession.”
Established in 1984 by the ICPAS Board of Directors, the Excel Awards are awarded each year to new CPAs for their outstanding performance on the Uniform CPA Examination. In order to be considered, candidates must achieve a combined average score of 90% or above on all sections of the Exam within two consecutive testing windows, as well as being in the top five percent of Illinois scores. Excel Gold, Silver and Bronze medals are awarded to those who achieve the top three Exam scores in the state.
