Scheffel Boyle raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwestern Ill. through annual bowl-a-thon

Professionals from Ill. firmScheffel Boyle CPAsrecentlyteamed up to raise funds forBig Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Southwestern Illinoisat the annualBowl for Kids’ Sakefundraiser.

Scheffel Boyle raised $5,000 in all for the agency at the event, which will be donated directly to the organization.

The firm's two bowling teams - the Tax Manian Devils and the Ten-Key Strikers - participated in the event May 10 at Edison’s Entertainment Complex in Edwardsville, Ill. Each of the firm’s 10 bowlers collected donations through their own social media and networking efforts.

“I’m continually impressed by what our employees can do when they set their mind to it,” stated Scott Weber, principal at Scheffel Boyle’s Edwardsville office who also serves on the Board of Directors for BBBS of Southwestern Illinois. “They always try and top the donations from the year before and they have yet to fail. We are proud to support BBBS and contribute to their mission in our community.”
