ADP to Offer Free CPE

May 4, 2004

Roseland, N.J. (May 4, 2004) – It sounds too good to be true, but it isn’t: ADP Small Business Services, a unit of the payroll giant’s Employer Services Division, is planning to offer accountants free professional education programs.

ADP, which currently offers subscription-based CPE programs through its Professional Education Center (www.accountant.adp.com), has extended its relationship with one provider, SmartPros, to offer the educator’s programs for free as of June 1.

“Our goal is to give accountants meaningful tools and resources to help them further their professional development and grow their practice,” said Robert Wentling, ADP Small Business Services vice president of product marketing.

Accountants can take the courses online through the Professional Education Center, on DVD/VHS, or have ADP present materials live. New programs will be added quarterly.
