Accounting Today Picks Best Firms to Work For 2013

Accounting Today named the Best Firms to Work For 2013 during its annual Growth & Profitability Summit on Monday.

In the small employer category, with between 15 and 49 U.S. employees, the number one firm was TaxOps, based in Lakewood, Col., followed in second place by Mowery & Schoenfeld LLC, in Lincolnshire, Ill., and Johanson & Yau Accountancy Corporation, of San Jose, Calif., in third.

In the medium employer category, with between 50 and 249 U.S. employees, Porter Keadle Moore LLC, of Atlanta, ranked in first place, followed by Berntson Porter & Company PLLC, of Bellevue, Wash., in second place, and Sweeney Conrad, P.S., also of Bellevue, Wash., in third place.

In the large employer category, with 250 or more U.S. employees, Kaufman Rossin Group, based in Miami, won the first place prize, while Baker Tilly Virchow Krause LLP, of Chicago, came in second, with WithumSmith+Brown P.C., based in Princeton, N.J., in third place.
