Apricorn Expands Aegis Drive to Desktop

Apricorn has unveiled a desktop version of its Aegis Padlock secure drive, with a capacity of up to 3 terabytes.

The Aegis Padlock DT includes a Super Speed USB 3.0 interface, along with AES-XTS encryption for protecting sensitive client information, such as tax returns and financial data.

Users type in a 6- to 16-digit PIN on the alphanumeric keypad to unlock the drive.

Pricing starts at $229 for a 1-terabyte model with 128-bit AES encryption and ranges up to $369 for the 3-terabyte model with 256-bit AES encryption.
