CliftonLarsonAllen Acquires Beck Advisory Group

CliftonLarsonAllen has acquired the national health care consulting firm Beck Advisory Group.

Beck, which is based in Boise, Idaho, provides accounting, regulatory, transaction and business consulting to physician practices.

“Beck Advisory Group has garnered a strong reputation serving both independent physician groups and health care system-based physician practices,” CliftonLarsonAllen health care leader John Richter said in a statement. “While CLA has historically been focused on serving independent providers, we believe the current economic environment and the implementation of health care reform will accelerate the alignment of hospitals and physicians. Our acquisition of the Beck Advisory Group will greatly expand our ability to serve the complex needs of our healthcare clients.”

Joining CLA are seven Beck Advisory Group professionals, including partner Jim Beck, JD. Beck founded the firm in 2010 and has spent the last eight years in health care consulting, building on his 12 years of experience as a hospital CFO and senior executive.

“I founded Beck Advisory Group to provide physicians with personalized business consulting and to meet their unique practice needs,” Beck said in a statement. “CLA’s broad array of services and health care expertise will increase the depth of talent we can offer our clients. I look forward to growing our health care consulting capabilities along with CLA.”
