Sage North America has expanded its line of construction industry software with the introduction of Sage Timberline Enterprise.

The software offers business management features for service and specialty contractors. The system integrates core accounting functions with operational workflow for service management, job management and estimation.

Sage Timberline Enterprise is designed to help service specialty contractors in the construction and real estate sector to access and work with data using interactive workspaces. The software uses process maps to provide customizable, visual representations of everyday tasks. The software tightens the integration between accounting, service management, job management, and estimating to reduce unnecessary data input. A dispatch board helps users gain control and visibility over service work by assigning the appropriate technician with the right skills to a specific job.

“We are the market leader in the construction and real estate ERP space, and many of the other players have followed our lead,” said Jim Walter, vice president of product development in Sage’s Construction and Real Estate group. “We spent a lot of time examining this space and found there was an underserved need in the service and specialty vertical in construction industry. We find many of our customers belong to one of the sub-verticals and we see a lot of good candidates [for Timberline Enterprise], but it is important to note that this is not something we built with intention of replacing anything we already have.”

Sage’s Construction and Real Estate group also offers Sage Timberline Office and Sage Master Builder for construction companies, along with Sage Peachtree Premium Accounting for Construction 2011 for smaller construction companies.

Sage Timberline Enterprise is currently available on a limited basis and will be generally available in the fall.
