Sikich Merges in Sleeper Disbrow

Springfield, Ill. (November 10, 2009)

Sikich LLP has entered into a merger agreement with the accounting, tax, business consulting, litigation support and business valuation practice of Sleeper Disbrow Morrison Tarro & Lively LLC in Decatur, Ill.

The merger took effect Nov. 1. SDMT&L will operate under the Sikich name, but its office will remain in Decatur. SDMT&L partners Robert Disbrow, Richard Tarro, Wayne Lively and Thomas Leach will join Sikich as partners. The 28 SDMT&L personnel will continue as the Decatur office of Sikich.

“This merger will enable us to expand the depth and breadth of services that we offer,” said Sikich CEO Jim Sikich in a statement. “The two firms are very compatible in terms of firm culture, philosophy and approach. We both believe in the same principle of working side by side with our clients and a ‘roll up our sleeves’ approach to getting the job done.”

Sikich ranked 70th on Accounting Today’s 2009 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $42 million in revenue.
