Berdon Settles Rihanna Lawsuit

Berdon LLP and Rihanna have settled the singer’s multi-million-dollar lawsuit against the Top 100 Firm out of court.

Rihanna sued the firm in July of 2012, alleging that it had mishandled revenues from concert tours and given her bad advice on the purchase of a home, among other things (see “Rihanna Sues Accounting Firm”).

The firm released a brief statement: “Berdon LLP is pleased to announce that a settlement has been reached with the entertainer Robyn Rihanna Fenty, who filed suit against the firm in 2012.”

It further noted that the terms of the settlement preclude either party from disclosing the details of the agreement, but a source close to the matter told the New York Daily News that Berdon would not pay anything as part of the settlement.

The lawsuit had been scheduled to go to trial on May 12.
