Crowe Horwath Enhances Audit Technology

Crowe Horwath has introduced the Crowe Insight Center for Audit to advance the firm’s auditing services.
Crowe Insight was developed by Crowe’s audit and technology teams to improve audit quality, workflow and communication across the firm’s audit process.

“Crowe Insight is a strategic next step in our ongoing efforts to transform the audit experience for our clients and our people,” said Mark Baer, managing partner of Crowe audit services, in a statement last week. “This new platform resulted from a collaborative effort to innovate as we continuously seek ways to improve our processes and practices. It’s not just an investment in technology, but in our people as well. Our people are excited about the tools and technology Crowe Insight offers, as well as the tremendous opportunities it offers them to do things differently in a collaborative, innovative way.”

Crowe Insight aims to identify errors, outlying data and areas of risk earlier so they can be addressed more quickly by the firm’s auditors. Audit teams hope to focus on areas of higher risk and major issues with the new system. The technology will centralize communication and information sharing, while decreasing confusion about work paper requests by tracking information exchanges between auditors and their clients.
