BDO USA LLP has named Christopher Tower as the firm’s new national managing partner for audit quality and professional practice.
[IMGCAP(1)]He will be replacing Chris Smith, who is becoming global head of audit & accounting for BDO International.
Tower was previously a regional assurance leader at BDO.
Joe Johnson, currently assurance managing partner in BDO’s Orange County practice, will succeed Tower as West Region managing partner.
The appointments take effect October 1.
“I want to congratulate Christopher and Joe on their new roles,” said BDO USA CEO Wayne Berson in a statement Wednesday. “We are fortunate to have such strong leaders to step into these important positions.”
