CBIZ, Inc. has acquired the non-attest business of the San Diego, Calif.-based firm Millimaki Eggert, LLP, effective January 1, 2016, while CBIZ’s affiliated CPA firm Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C. has acquired Millimaki Eggert’s attest business.
CBIZ, Inc. and Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C. operate an alternative practice structure in which publicly traded CBIZ and the accounting firm MHM act as separate, independent legal entities that work together to serve clients’ business needs.
Millimaki Eggert was founded in 2005 by Bruce Millimaki and Michael Eggert. The firm provides tax, accounting, and financial services, specializing in servicing the real estate sector. The firm also services other closely held businesses, their owners, and mid-to-high net worth individuals. Millimaki Eggert has 12 employees, recorded $2.4 million in revenue over the past year, and will be integrated into CBIZ’s San Diego office.
Cleveland-based CBIZ and Mayer Hoffman McCann together ranked ninth on Accounting Today’s 2015 list of the Top 100 Firms, with $600 million in annual revenue.

Employee services include employee benefits consulting, property and casualty insurance, retirement plan consulting, payroll, life insurance, HR consulting, and executive recruitment. The company has more than 100 offices in 33 states.
