Most Accountants Have Made Their Pick for Prez

Two-thirds of accountants surveyed already know who they will vote for in November’s presidential election.

According to a recent survey of 330 CPAs and accountants by Accounting Today, 65.5 percent of them have decided who they will vote for for president, while 34.5 percent have not.

And while over 49 percent of accountants surveyed think the presidential election will have “a major impact” on the economy, and 42 percent think it will at least have “some impact,” only 10 percent think that it will have a major impact on their firm or practice, and 41 percent believe it will have some impact.

A further 16 percent think the election will have no impact at all on their firm or practice, and the remaining third think the impact will be “minor.”

The survey was conducted in the last week of June and the first week of July, two weeks before the first national political convention.
