WithumSmith+Brown Merges in Mironov Group

WithumSmith+Brown is joining forces with The Mironov Group, effective Jan. 1, 2016, expanding Withum’s presence in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

[IMGCAP(1)]Withum ranked 32nd on Accounting Today’s 2015 list of the Top 100 Firms. The firm has 12 offices, 550 staff members and annual revenue of $115 million. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Mironov’s Edison, N.J., office will remain at its current location through the end of the 2016 tax season, but will relocate next May to Withum’s New Brunswick headquarters. Mironov’s Blue Bell, Pa., office will stay in its current location.

“We have been seeking the right strategic partner to expand our breadth of industry sector expertise, and we found the perfect match with The Mironov Group,” said Withum managing partner and CEO Bill Hagaman in a statement. “Additionally, our new colleagues pride themselves on providing clients with outstanding service, and staff with a great work environment, so this is a great cultural match as well.”

The Mironov Group specializes in offering accounting, audit, tax and consulting services to the automotive, health care, real estate and professional services industries.

Jim Boland, Mironov’s managing partner since 2010, along with the firm’s other 10 partners and 40 additional staff, will join the Withum team as part of the deal. Boland said Withum’s depth and breadth of resources would be invaluable in serving his firm’s existing clients and industries. “Both firms share a commitment to personalized client service, the highest level of integrity, and nurturing uniquely innovative cultures, creating a natural fit between the two organizations,” he added.
