Survey Examines Factors Driving Happiness at CPA Firms

The CPA Consultants’ Alliance has released a new report on what drives happiness in CPA firms.

The study, which included results from 729 respondents, polled firm employees and managers about questions such as the top three contributing factors to happiness at work. The top response was “flexibility in my work schedule,” cited by 65.4 percent of respondents, followed by “challenging work” (52.2 percent), and “increased compensation” (29.0 percent).

When asked to identify which three areas would increase their personal happiness if they had the opportunity to encourage their firm to improve, the top response was “more communication,” cited by 47.5 percent of respondents, followed by “increased compensation” (46.1 percent), “more soft skills/communications” (31.9 percent) and “more technical skills learning programs” (31.3 percent).
