MAINE

Baker Newman Noyes names four new principals throughout the firm. Anne Cloutier has been named audit principal. Cloutier joined the firm in 1996. Since that time she has dedicated her time to serving clients in the healthcare industry, providing audit services to a variety of hospital and healthcare organizations. Céline Couillaut has been named tax principal. Couillaut joined the firm in 2001 and has built a practice focused on providing tax compliance, planning and consulting for high net worth families and individuals, as well as corporations and partnerships. Rick Cyr has been named principal in the audit practice. Cyr joined the firm in 1999 and, since that time, has built a successful practice in auditing financial institutions, insurance entities and employee benefit plans, as well as commercial businesses and quasi-governmental agencies. Sean Sinclair has been named principal in the firm’s operations department. Sinclair’s appointment marks a new role for the firm. He joined the firm in 2010 as the firm’s first chief operating officer. Sinclair specializes in strategic leadership, project management, process improvement, risk and financial controls assessment and business process re-engineering.

NEW YORK

Ethan Kahn has joined WeiserMazars LLP as a partner in the Not-for-Profit Practice in the New York office. He will help strengthen the firm’s services to the not-for-profit sector, particularly in the area of consulting and audit services. … Mary MacKrell has been promoted to partner at LCS&Z LLP in Latham, N.Y. MacKrell has been with the firm since 2008, and specializes in attest engagements and client audits. Her responsibilities include performing the firm’s A-133, government and grant audits, peer reviews and the firm’s internal quality control.

NORTH CAROLINA

Jason King has been promoted to senior accountant where he works primarily on tax engagements at DMJ & Co. in Sanford, N.C. King earned a BBA in Accounting, a MBA from Campbell University, and has been a member of DMJ since 2011. Jessica Robinson has been promoted to senior accountant. Robinson joined the Sanford office in 2012 and is primarily responsible for preparing tax returns and assisting with write-up engagements. She earned her B.S. in Accounting from Northern Kentucky University. Laura Hartley, CPA has been promoted to audit supervisor in the firm’s Greensboro office. Her primary area of focus is performing audits in both for-profit and not-for-profit environments. Hartley has been with DMJ for more than five years and is a 2009 graduate of UNC-Greensboro where she also earned a Masters of Accounting.

PENNSYLVANIA

Shannon Geiman and Judy Hebb were promoted to managers at the Hanover office of SEK&Co. Peter McDonald has been admitted as a member of the firm.

TEXAS

Megan McFarland will be the Dallas Office managing partner for Hein & Associates, succeeding Wayne Gray, who will be retiring on Dec. 31, 2015. McFarland joined Hein in 1996. She currently leads the audit practice in Dallas and is the National Energy Practice Leader. Kenny Grace will be the new Houston office managing partner for the firm, succeeding Keith Tunnell. Grace joined Hein in 1997 and led the audit practice in Houston for over ten years.

VIRGINA

Charles Helme, managing principal of Thompson Greenspon, has been elected to CPAmerica International’s board of directors as new chair of the board. He succeeds 2014 chair Bryan Chandler, leading partner of JamisonMoneyFarmer, PC in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

David Reznick, co-founder and Chairman of the Board of Reznick Group has passed. Reznick died at his home in Maryland on Wednesday evening, Dec. 31, 2014, surrounded by his family.
