Accounting and Finance Temp Job Site Launches

Adaptive Professional Solutions has debuted an online marketplace for temporary accounting and finance staffing.

The company sees itself as tapping into a growing market for freelance and temporary employment. The site allows hiring managers and candidates to directly communicate and negotiate staffing assignments in the accounting and finance industry. Companies can access profiles from a pool of industry-specific candidates.

Adaptive currently has more than 1,100 registered users, including accounting and finance professionals in some of the largest U.S. markets. The company was founded by Stephen DelVecchia, a CPA who began his career in public accounting and later worked at Corbis Corp. and Barnes & Noble, Inc. He became CFO and executive vice president of a large staffing company, Corporate Resource Services Inc., which he took public in 2008. In 2009, he formed a new consulting and staffing company to provide flexible accounting and finance services. On Monday the company officially launched online as Adaptive Professional Solutions.

“I created Adaptive Professional Solutions with the vision of David and Goliath in mind,” DelVecchia said in a statement. “I wanted to upend the current staffing landscape by introducing an innovative platform into the mix that will outdate the dominating model. Adaptive’s unique design will be the first of its kind to provide companies and job candidates an online option that allows them to directly negotiate rates without the hindrance of hidden fees and limited access to profiles and job postings.”
