New hires, you're on watch: According to a new Robert Half Finance & Accounting survey, a majority (54 percent) of CFOs said that their new hires have one to less than three months to prove themselves in their roles. Another 9 percent of CFOs expect new blood to prove themselves in less than a month.

The AICPA announced last week that Dr. Yvonne Hinson has been named the Institute's Academic in Residence. The role will see Dr. Hinson provide leadership for the AICPAs initiatives to engage with and support university accounting educators, focused on building a strong pipeline of professional and diverse students to continue to enter the CPA profession.
