Becker Professional Education announced on Tuesday its Newton D. Becker 2015 scholarship program, set to award over $225,000 to more than 120 CPA candidates. Applicants will have an opportunity to receive one of 20 full CPA Exam Review scholarships, valued at $3,393 each, or one of 100 scholarships valued at $1,697 each.

On Wednesday, private research univeristy Stevens Institute of Technology announced a three-year collaboration with Accenture, set to study and focus on analytics in the financial services industry. Additionally, the two will hold advanced analytics research projects and work shop sessions with Accenture's financial services clients.

A group of Russian lawmakers has introduced legislation that would prohibit foreign accounting firms from auditing Russian companies in which the government owns more than a 50 percent interest.

On Monday, Deloitte unveiled the Deloitte RightStep Innovation Prize - an opportunity for both nonprofit and for-profit social enterprises to exhibit their various, innovative strategies for K-12 education through technology.
