Ajamu Kitwana oversees the management and implementation of ESL�s Consumer Prosperity program, established in 2013 by the Rochester, NY credit union to enhance its competitiveness while simultaneously solving economic and social problems in the communities in which it operates. Kitwana�s work will involve empowering all members of the Rochester community to gain access to the appropriate financial services, capabilities, and support to achieve prosperity.Prior to joining ESL, Kitwana was a consultant with FSG Social Impact Strategy Consultants. He also worked for several for-profit and non-profit organizations committed to shared value and/or social justice, including the Make It Right Foundation, an organization founded by Brad Pitt and committed to rebuilding neighborhoods in New Orleans devastated by Hurricane Katrina.Kitwana received a master�s in business administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and holds both his bachelor and master of science degrees in civil and environmental engineering from Stanford University.
