Amy S. Doppelt is a managing director in Fitch Ratings public finance department and head of its Western Region Tax-Supported group. Her responsibilities include overseeing ratings for general obligation, lease, tax allocation, and other tax-backed debt. Amy also is a member of the departments Criteria and Credit Issues Committee. Prior to joining Fitch in 1989, Amy was vice president at Capital Re Management Corp. Earlier, she was a vice president at L.F. Rothschild & Co. She began her career at Standard & Poors.Amy has been named to the All-Star Municipal Analysts Teams for the last several years. She recently completed two terms as an advisor to the Government Finance Officers Associations Standing Committee on Economic Development and Capital Planning. She was a member of the California Debt and Investment Advisory Commissions Technical Advisory Committee for 14 years. Amy is a member of the California Society of Municipal Analysts and the National Federation of Municipal Analysts. A cum laude graduate of Smith College, Amy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in government and economics. She currently serves on the colleges Presidents Council.
