Andy Busch is a recognized expert on world financial markets and how they are affected by political events. In addition to his role as Global Currency and Public Policy Strategist for BMO Capital Markets, he is a senior fellow on economic issues for the Illinois Policy Institute and an American Action Forum Expert.He consults with the U.S. Treasury, Congress, and the White House on economic andfinancial market issues. He was an adviser on the financial markets to U.S. presidential candidate John McCain and advised the last three U.S. Treasury Secretaries, including Tim Geithner.Andy appears regularly on CNBC’s The Closing Bell and The Kudlow Report. He is frequently quoted by The Wall Street Journal, Reuters News Services, Dow Jones News Services, Associate Press, Agence France-Press, Australia's Au., UK's Guardian, and the Globe and Mail.A prolific writer, Andy is the author of World Event Trading: How to Analyze and Profit from Today's Headlines, and authors a daily newsletter, The Busch Update, as well as the monthly Busch GPS: Global Political Strategy.Andy joined BMO Financial Group in 1990 in the foreign exchange trading room.
