Christopher Mauro, CFA

Christopher Mauro is the Senior Municipal Desk Credit Analyst for RBC Capital Markets. He joined RBC in October 2009 and served as the firm’s Head of Municipal Strategy Research for seven years, before moving to his current position in November 2016. Prior to joining RBC, he spent five years as a Director and Senior Underwriter at Financial Guaranty Insurance Company where he was responsible for both public and project finance transactions. Mr. Mauro spent nearly 20 years at Merrill Lynch, first in its Fixed Income Research Department, where he functioned as the firm’s primary municipal revenue bond analyst, and later as a Director in its Corporate Finance Ratings Advisory Service. Mr. Mauro began his career with Moody’s Investor’s Service as an analyst in the Public Finance Department.Mr. Mauro earned his MBA at RutgersUniversity and has a BS in Finance from ArizonaStateUniversity. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
