Senior Managing Partner

Glenn Block is a CPA and the senior managing partner in the accounting firm of Block & Aldinger CPA’s and has been employed by the firm since 1982. Prior to practicing in Pennsylvania, Mr. Block worked with a CPA firm in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area for two years.In his current capacity as senior managing partner, Mr. Block is specialized in the area of business valuations and also provides services to the firm’s clients in the area of lost profits damages calculations, wrongful employee termination cases, marital dissolution proceedings, bankruptcies, gift and estate tax planning, due diligence engagements and other forensic and litigation support services. Mr. Block is also specialized in the area of Pennsylvania family law as it pertains to child and spousal support calculations as well as equitable distribution. Mr. Block has prepared numerous business valuations, has testified in court as an expert witness on many occasions, and has also been appointed by the court to perform business valuations as an independent valuation expert in divorce proceedings and has also served as an arbitrator in civil litigation matters. Mr. Block currently serves on the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Divorce Conference Committee. He has been awarded an Accredited in Business Valuation credential (ABV) from the American Institute of CPA’s (AICPA). Mr. Block is also credentialed as a Certified Valuation Analyst, (CVA) and belongs to the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA). Mr. Block received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1979 from the American University in Washington, D.C. Mr. Block frequently speaks before groups on different topic matters and has previously lectured at the NACVA national conference held in San Diego in June 2011 on the subject matter of engagement letters. He has also lectured before the PICPA at their annual divorce conference held in King of Prussia in October 2011 on the same subject matter. Mr. Block has been asked again to speak before the Pennsylvania Institute of CPA’s at their annual divorce conference which was recently held in October 2012 on the topic of “Equitable Distribution.” Mr. Block is an expert in “electronic security” and owns an alarm company that sells and installs residential and commercial burglar and fire alarm systems as well as video surveillance systems and access control. Mr. Block is currently serving a 4 year term as elected Commissioner of South Whitehall Township located in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, comprising of a community of approximately 20,000 citizens. Prior to Mr. Block’s election as commissioner, he served 7 years as a member of the South Whitehall Township Zoning Hearing Board. Mr. Block has always enjoyed magic as a hobby and currently serves on the audit committee of the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM).
