Kim Garland

Prior to joining State Auto, Kim Garland was most recently chief product officer at AIG's P&C consumer division, where he led product management, actuarial, underwriting and business analytics for their global personal auto, personal property, personal accident, travel and warranty businesses.� He previously helped lead the restructuring of United Guaranty, AIG's mortgage insurance company, as its chief operating officer and later, CEO.� Before joining AIG, he managed the Personal Auto business at Safeco and also started their innovation company, Open Seas Solutions.� Kim began his insurance career at GEICO, where he held actuarial, product management and customer service roles.� Kim is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) and holds an undergraduate degree from Florida State University and a graduate degree from the University of Virginia, both in Mathematics.
