Konrad is the leader of our San Francisco office and advises clients on compliance, enterprise risk management, governance, and regulatory communications, with a particular expertise in retail lending.Before joining Promontory, Konrad served as Executive Vice President and Chief Public Policy Officer at Providian Financial Corp., and as a senior vice president at Golden West Financial Corp., the parent company of World Savings. Konrads public service includes positions as counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, where he participated in legislative efforts to resolve the savings and loan crisis, strengthen the deposit insurance system, and improve consumer protection in financial services.
