In her role as Chief Architect & Head of Information Delivery for MetLife Investments, Mary Koch leads and manages various types of architects in the development and implementation of an Investments application, data, and technology strategy. Koch has been responsible for establishing enterprise architecture organizations to facilitate business transformation plans. In addition to her duties as Chief Architect, Koch manages Investments Information Delivery which distributes much of the data that drives analytics and reporting for MetLife Investments. The operational responsibilities for Investments Information Delivery include Business Intelligence and Reporting and Master Data Management. Koch has more than 18 years of Architecture and Technology expertise and has held a variety of architecture roles across industries such as Consumer Products, Insurance and Financial Services, including CIO/Global Director Biovail Pharmaceuticals, Global Director at Campbell Soup Company where she created and executed upon the Enterprise Architecture Strategy. Furthermore, under Kochs direction, the Global Data Center Operations were consolidated and outsourced to IBM. She has also led data architects on the implementation of SAP on a global basis, and provided outsourcing strategy saving approximately $33MM per year. Other experiences include the design and implementation of enterprise portals and data syndication services. Koch has spent a number of years as a principle consultant, providing consulting services to Fortune 500 and 1000 companies solving complex Technology, Business Intelligence Application problems with Large Data Volumes (terabytes of data). In addition to being the author of numerous articles in leading industry journals, she has participated in a number of industry consortiums driving model driven architectures and data standards. Koch holds a Law Degree from Temple University and BS Degree in Computer Science from Penn State. In addition, she has served as an Adjunct Professor at Muhlenberg College teaching information management courses for more than 10 years.
