Roger Benjamin

President

Roger Benjamin is President of CAE , an education assessment organization. Previously, he was director of Education and research scientist at RAND. Before that he was provost at the University of Minnesota (1986-88), and provost, at the University of Pittsburgh (1983-86).. Dr. Benjamin is the recipient of research awards from the Fulbright Commission to Japan (1969-70) and Korea (1973), and several other U.S. Foundations. He is the author or co-author of over 65 books, monographs, and articles including The Limits of Politics (1980), The Democratic State (1985), The Implications of the Changed Environment for Higher Education (1998), The Democratic Purposes of Education ( 2000) , Seven Red Herrings About Assessment in Higher Education (2012) , and The New Limits of Education Policy (2012).
