Scott M. Adair was appointed the County of Monroes Chief Financial Officer in August of 2008. He is responsible for the overall development and management of the Countys financial management function, including oversight of the preparation of the operating and capital budgets, capital financing and management of the Countys debt portfolio, cash flow management, as well as on-going monitoring of the financial condition. Mr. Adair previously served as the Controller of the County from 2004 to 2008 and was responsible for overseeing the financial reporting and cash flow functions of the Countys $1 billion dollar budget.Before joining Monroe County, Mr. Adair was a Senior Manager for KPMG LLP. He served numerous governments and not-for-profits in New York State including the State, as the lead senior manager on the financial statement audit, the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York, along with many other county governments, colleges and universities. Mr. Adair holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting from the State University of New York at Geneseo. He is currently a Certified Public Accounting in the State of New York. He was born and raised in Rochester, New York.
