Terry Matsumoto

Terry Matsumoto was appointed Chief Financial Services Officer of the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority in December 2006. He is responsible for accounting, debt, investments, risk management, pension and benefits, and revenue.Mr. Matsumoto previously also held the position of Treasurer from April 1998 to December 2012. He has served as Executive Officer, Finance, Executive Officer, Administration, Controller and Director of Strategic Funding Analysis for the MTA’s Regional Transportation Planning and Development Division. Prior to joining the MTA, Mr. Matsumoto was the Controller of The Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Los Angeles.His prior positions include Assistant Controller for Republic Geothermal, Inc., Division Controller for Tetra Tech, Inc., in Arlington, Virginia, and Senior Accountant for Coopers & Lybrand. He is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles.
