Yaffa Rattner

Yaffa is a Managing Director supporting Piper Jaffray's High Yield Sales and Trading Team. Her primary responsibilities include assessing and reviewing municipal transactions to be underwritten by Piper with the end goal of ensuring maximum investor protection. She is also responsible for analyzing a spectrum of credits in the secondary market to optimize trading decisions. As well she works with investors in the secondary market to support optimal disclosure. Yaffa is responsible for many sectors and has expertise in Charter Schools, Land Secured Financings, Senior Living Facilities and the Hospitality Sector. Prior to joining Piper, in early 2008, Yaffa spent several months heading up the surveillance efforts at a former AAA bond insurer and several years as a banker. Prior to these positions, Yaffa spent 12 years at Moody's Investor Service where she held a variety of positions including senior vice president and manager of the North East regional ratings team from 2001 through 2005. Yaffa is a member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts, Municipal Analyst Group of New York and the Muni Forum. She has an MPA in Public Finance from Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs.
