Diligent touts AI Board Member and Agentic GRC Workforce

Diligent
Governance, risk and compliance platform Diligent introduced its new AI Board Member assistant plus a coordinated network of agents embedded across the Diligent One Platform.

The AI Board Member acts as a digital colleague for board members, recalling board materials, industry news, public research and other sources, as well as providing specialist perspectives. It can give directors organization-specific guidance on AI, cyber, risk, audit and more — grounded in their own materials, industry trends and peer benchmarks. It also joins board, committee and leadership meetings to take minutes, assign action items and follow up on actions so preparation happens ahead of the next meeting.

The new Subsidiary Governance Agent automates the mechanics of subsidiary board operations and officer appointments by preparing board packs, minutes, approvals and filings across entities and jurisdictions. It also orchestrates director and officer appointment changes into a review step, triggering notifications, identifying required filings and keeping board and committee compositions current. It monitors and identifies compliance gaps by surfacing missing sections, outdated content and jurisdiction-specific requirements, then proposing appropriate changes in bulk as regulations, events or cross-entity changes occur.

The Enterprise Risk Governance Agent automates identification, assessment and reporting of enterprise risks. It transforms raw risk signals into board-ready insights and SEC-aligned disclosures, highlighting trends and changes over time, drawing on both the company's own data as well as Moody's risk benchmarking data to embed peer and market context for disclosure-ready reporting. It converts board materials and emerging signals into structured risk items within a centralized risk register. It also replaces manual coordination and review with auditable workflows.

The agents are accessible through a single command center and automate multistep workflows across governance, risk, compliance and third-party management.

Gusto announces 75 new features

Gusto NEW
Payroll and payment solutions provider Gusto rolled out nearly 75 new features across payroll, financial management, benefits and HR. The many new capacities include automated payment routing that automatically detects a failed payment and reroutes it to the newly added account. Assisted Payroll Prep works in the background to catch anomalies before a payroll run is ever submitted by comparing the current run against historical payrolls. Automated Contractor Payments allows payments to be scheduled ahead of time to reduce last-minute manual entries before payday. Remote I-9 verification allows guided form completion, E-Verify integration, and authorized representative verification for employees who can't complete their I-9 in person. Karbon integration connects Gusto Pro with Karbon's practice management system to automatically create recurring payroll work items, sync pay schedule dates and surface task statuses inside Karbon. An expansion to Gusto Pro's Opportunities allows accountants to see personalized, timely recommendations for each of their clients — whether that's flagging a retirement mandate, surfacing a workers' comp opportunity, or estimating an R&D tax credit. An expanded Tax Credits service automatically reviews payroll and benefits data to estimate each eligible customer's maximum credits and generate ready-to-file documents — for them or their accountant — all within their existing Gusto workflow. There are many other new features in Gusto's spring release.
