Financial Cents adds capabilities to practice management software

Financial Cents, which makes practice management software for accountants, has added a couple of new features. The software now includes a calendar view, which displays all important due dates on tasks for the week or month in one screen. Secondly, Financial Cents now offers time budgets on individual tasks, allowing accountants to budget how long individual client work should take the firm to complete.

Lukka names new head of data and analytics

Lukka, provider of asset evaluation software for cryptocurrency, has named Dan Huscher its new head of data and analytics. Huscher joins the company from IHS Markit.

As head of data and analytics for Lukka, Huscher will be responsible for the further development of Lukka’s crypto asset data business. Having been a critical driver of the pricing and reference data business's growth over his 16-year tenure at IHS Markit, Huscher will help Lukka expand its crypto asset data offerings for institutions.

AICPA partners with Kaplan on CGMA program

The American Institute of CPAs has partnered with Kaplan, global provider of education resources, to offer the Chartered Global Management Accountant program to Kaplan’s current and future enterprise customers. Kaplan will offer its global clients the CGMA Finance Leadership Program and preparation courses for the CGMA exam.

The CGMA designation is a management accounting credential, and accounting professionals who earn it demonstrate advanced proficiency in finance, operations, strategy, and management. More than 150,000 accounting and finance professionals hold the CGMA, making it the most widely held management accounting designation in the world.

Intapp to acquire Belfast-based maker of Microsoft 365 tools

Intapp, which makes industry-specific cloud software for professional firms, has agreed to acquire Repstor, a software company based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Repstor makes Microsoft 365-based enterprise content management and team collaboration tools.

Repstor solutions are designed to help professional and financial services firms get the most out of their Microsoft 365 investments. The software is built to improve information governance and security, while boosting productivity by providing industry-specific templates that span firms’ deal, matter and engagement lifecycles.
