Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, New York, supported the United Way of Long Island’s Stuff-a-Bus campaign this year, which provides children from low-income families with new school supplies. As part of Baker Tilly’s donation, team members also volunteered at United Way’s Deer Park office location on September 1 to fill new backpacks with lunch boxes, notebooks, pencils, crayons and scissors. The supplies will be delivered to schools in seven school districts on September 11.
KPMG announced they have joined pro golfer and brand ambassador Stacy Lewis in contributing to Hurricane Harvey relief funds, donating $390,000 in total. The firm will also donate books and refurbishes to a local library as part of their "Family for Literacy" initiative, doubling their typical donation to include 10,000 to two Houston libraries.
