The board of trustees of the Financial Accounting Foundation announced the appointment of Michael Morrow as the new chair of the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council, effective Jan. 1, 2020. Additionally, the board of trustees of FAF also appointed Holly Nelson and Zubin Avari to the Private Company Council, each for a three-year term; and reappointed current PCC members Yan Zhang and Richard Reisig to three-year terms. All appointments are effective on Jan. 1, 2020.

The Massachusetts Society of CPAs, Boston, partnered with the National Association of Black Accountants, Fisher College and Suffolk University to host an Accounting Career Awareness Program, a free specialized summer camp for 30 students Aug. 5-9 at Suffolk University. The students, from across the state, learned about accounting careers and other business-related professions.

MISSOURI
