CANADA
D&H Group Chartered Public Accountants, Vancouver, became a member firm of global alliance TAG Alliances.
GEORGIA
Bennett Thrasher, Atlanta, has added a tax controversy practice, which will seek to help clients resolve matters prior to the litigation stage, and be led by James Pickett. This marks the third addition of a new service line at the firm in the past nine months.
ILLINOIS
Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, Chicago, hosted its first-ever Baker Tilly Wishes campaign, with team members around the country sharing their involvement with different nonprofits and asking for wishes to be granted on behalf of the firm. As part of the program, three of the organizations will receive $10,000 and the nominating team members of the selected organizations will receive up to 40 hours of paid time to volunteer with the charity. Baker Tilly Wishes will be granted to Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project and Rape Crisis Center.

MARYLAND
Rosen Sapperstein & Friedlander, Towson, moved its headquarters to 405 York Road in Towson, a 14,000-square-foot former retail space in Towson Commons. The firm also unveiled a new, contemporary logo, ahead of its 40th anniversary.
MASSACHUSETTS
Rodman CPAs, Waltham, held its third and final "Solar Roundtable" for 2017 at their Waltham office, which was attended by over 40 solar developers, installers and investors in the region.
NEW JERSEY
SAX LLP will be hosting its first Founder’s Award event, hosting 190 nonprofit organizations in the New York and New Jersey area who applied for a $15,000 unrestricted gift from SAX based on their efforts towards sustainability. The winner will be announced at the event, held at The Chart House in Weehawken, N.J., on Jan. 25 from 6-9 p.m.
Ernst & Young announced the opening of a new 170,000 square-foot office and learning center in Hoboken, which will house more than 1,000 EY professionals and feature advanced technologies. The office, located at 121 River Street, is also part of the EY@Work initiative, which aims to offer energizing and efficient environments for its workforce.
