On the move: KPM appoints outsourcing lead

Maria Huja was promoted to managing partner at Claremont Management, Rolling Meadows, where she has worked since 2009 and became partner in 2018. 

RSM US, Chicago, added as new members of its executive leadership team: Sam Mascareno succeeding Bill Gorman as chief operating officer; Brandon Rucker succeeding Joel Shamon as enterprise assurance leader; Stuart Taub as enterprise markets and industry leader; and to join the ELT: Ericka Foster, first deputy general counsel; Rod Reimann, enterprise sales leader; and Maria Severino, enterprise tax growth and industry leader and Canada tax leader. Additionally, RSM named Jamie Burgess as chair of the RSM US board of directors effective May 1, 2025, through November 30, 2026, succeeding Brandon Rucker, who was named the firm's new enterprise assurance leader and member of the executive leadership team.

The Illinois CPA Society announced its Not-for-Profit Symposium will be hosted at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont on June 4, 2025, with a virtual half-day conference also held the following day. More information is available here.

Kristi Wilkins was appointed leader of the accounting outsourcing consulting department and Becky Harmon as leader of the tax department at KPM CPAs and Advisors, Springfield. 

Citrin Cooperman announced co-founder Joel Cooperman left the firm on March 31, 2025, after over 40 years as CEO, including the last four as executive chairman. (Read the full story.)
