People & firms on the move: EY appoints Americas forensic & integrity services leader

CALIFORNIA

Nick Antonian was promoted to partner in assurance services at Marcum, Los Angeles.

Seiler, Redwood City, opened a new office in Walnut Creek, the latest in the firm’s Bay Area expansion, to accommodate 45 employees in the city’s Pacific Plaza and located at 1340 Treat Boulevard, Suite 500, Walnut Creek 94597.

CONNECTICUT

Joseph DeCusati was promoted to partner in advisory services at Marcum, New Haven.

Stephanie Kasson, a tax manager at Blumshapiro, West Hartford, was selected as one of the 2019 Emerging Leaders by the Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce, recognizing individuals under the age of who demonstrate dedication to their profession through leadership, dedication and individuality; support the advancement of their communities through volunteer service; and exhibit character that results in a positive impact to other emerging leaders on a professional and personal level.

FLORIDA

Ashlie Forum was promoted to partner in tax and business services in the Fort Lauderdale office, and Moises Ariza was promoted to partner in assurance services in the Miami office, at Marcum.

Sarah Coulson, marketing program manager at CPAmerica, Gainesville, was presented with Image Awards for excellence in public relations programming and projects by the Florida Public Relations Association, and recognized as the 2018-19 FPRA Gainesville Chapter Member of the Year in April.

The Kansas Society of CPAs, in partnership with the American Institute of CPAs, announced its Women to Watch Award nominees. MISSOURI

Crystal Mapp (pictured), marketing director at KPM CPAs & Advisors, Springfield, was selected to participate in Class 4 of OzarkLeads, a program to provide professionals with greater understanding of the Ozark community and leadership to improve the quality of life in the area. In other firm news, Wayne Dipper, owner and chief operating officer at KPM Technology, Springfield, was named a 2019 Springfield Business Journal Trusted Advisor in the Information Technology category.

NEW YORK

Tony Jordan (pictured) was promoted to the Americas leader of forensic & integrity services at EY, New York, where he leads nearly 1,300 professionals in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Central America, South America and Israel in helping clients protect and restore reputations. He succeeds Brian Loughman, who moved into the role of EY global forensics markets leader.

Marcum promoted to partner, in the Melville office: Anthony Basile in assurance services, Ali Jahangir Hirji, in tax and business services, and Jill Scher in accounting services; and in New York City, Janet Levy in assurance services.

Elizabeth Cummings and Sandra Prisco were hired as directors; Alan Weiner was promoted to audit director in the real estate group; and Sari Gluckman and Jaimee Krumholz were promoted to directors in marketing, at Freidman, New York.

Terence Coppinger was hired as a tax partner at Mazars USA, Woodbury.

Vincent Paolucci was hired as a partner in the tax practice group at Gettry Marcus, Woodbury.

Yan Zhang, partner-in-charge of the professional practice group at EisnerAmper, New York, was reappointed to the Financial Accounting Foundation’s Private Company Council for a three-year term through Dec. 31, 2022.

EisnerAmper, New York, earned ClearlyRated’s Best of Accounting Award for excellence in client service for the third consecutive time, earning a Net Promoter Score of over 80, more than three times the profession average.

EFPR Group, Rochester, joined accounting association CPAmerica.

PENNSYLVANIA

Brown Schultz Sheridan & Fritz hired: Mike Basti as a tax staff accountant, and Anna Reapsome (pictured) and Devin Brown as audit staff accountants, in the Camp Hill office; and Kevin Bushong as an audit/tax staff accountant in the Hanover office. In other firm news, Adriann Reed, senior manager in Harrisburg, was selected as an Advocate honoree at the Whitaker Center’s inaugural Women in STEM Awards. The advocate category recognizes a woman who serves as a mentor to women and girls and has helped them excel in science, technology, engineering and math.

Olga Blyweiss was hired as a tax partner at Mazars USA, Fort Washington.

Michael Buchheit was promoted to partner in assurance services, and John Heilmann was promoted to partner in tax and business services, at Marcum, Philadelphia.

Amy O’Connor was hired as senior director of stakeholder engagement and communications at the Center for Audit Quality.

MarcWalby was hired as a senior managing director, and Karen McDonald and Amber Vitale were hired as managing directors at FTI Consulting.

Matthew Huffner was promoted to partner in assurance services and Karen Schuler was promoted to partner in managed services, at Marcum.
