Thomas Goddard and Philip Wright will be joining Squar Milner as partners. along with some associates from Oliva, Goddard & Wright. The combination will be effective Nov. 1, and will expand Squar Milner's presence in San Diego, where it has been operating since 1951.

ILLINOIS

BDO USA, Chicago, elected three members to its board of directors for three-year terms, effective Nov. 1: Maria Karalis (pictured), managing partner in assurance services in Stamford; Karen Stone, partner in the Charlotte office and managing partner for tax services in the Atlantic region; and Ted Vaughan, managing partner for assurance services in Dallas. With these elections, women now comprise 40 percent of BDO USA’s board.

INDIANA

Dan Hutmacher was appointed president and CEO of DuCharme, McMillen & Associates, Fort Wayne, following a national executive search, and succeeding long-time president and CEO Dave Meinika, who stepped down in May due to health reasons. Hutmacher, who was serving as interim president and CEO after Meinika’s departure, has been with DMA since 1989 and most recently served as chief operating officer.

MARYLAND

Chris Rosenthal, director and leader of the disputes, forensic and valuation services practice at Ellin & Tucker, Baltimore, was elected chair of the Business Valuation Resource Panel with the Appraisal Foundation.
