Janet Hodgdon, director of health care development at Baker Newman Noyes, has received the 2017 Healthcare Financial Management Association Founders Medal of Honor from the HFMA Massachusetts-Rhode Island Chapter Board of Directors, for her service to HFMA and to the health care finance profession. Sarah Krom, managing partner of SKC and Co. CPAs LLC, Boonton Township, has been named president-elect of the New Jersey Society of CPAs. At 34, she is the youngest person to hold that position, and the third female. Krom joined the NJCPA in 2003, and steadily held positions of note within the organization, including having served as chair and vice chair of the Young CPAs Council (now the Emerging Leaders Council). She currently serves on the NJCPA Scholarship Fund and the Strategic Planning Committee and has been an active member of the Bergen Chapter.

Stuart Taub has been named market managing partner for the New York practice of RSM US LLP, succeeding Donald Lipari, who has been named RSM national industry leader. Taub joined RSM in 1995.
