Elliott Davis names a COO; Selden Fox installs a president; and other recent hires, promotions and personnel news from firms across the country.

CALIFORNIA

Kim Kutcher was hired as the human resources director at White Nelson Diehl Evans, Irvine.

ILLINOIS

Jay Schulman, principal in the Chicago office of RSM US, was named national leader of blockchain and cryptocurrency services. He will lead the firm’s efforts to help clients account for the regulatory, tax and trade, auditability, risk and compliance implications related to global transactions and exchanges.

Joe Meyer (pictured) was appointed president at Selden Fox, Oak Brook, where he started his career in 1988 and serves as business advisor and partner.

KANSAS

Whitney Kohler was hired as an associate manager at Lewis, Hooper & Dick, rejoining the firm where she previously served as an intern in 2013.

MICHIGAN

Jo Ellen Zilch was hired as a consultant in the Accounting and Outsourced Solutions Department at Maner Costerisan, Lansing.

NEW JERSEY

The Mercadien Group, Princeton, announced several promotions: Digesh Patel (pictured) was promoted to managing director and principal; Lovepreet Buttar to director in the nonprofit and human services group; Matthew Fins to manager in the financial institutions services group; and Matthew Smierciak to manager in the compliance oversight services group.

NEW YORK

Mazars, New York, named several new partners and principals; admitting Stacey Barbaro, Michael LaMantia, Christopher Lieto, Jeremy Rice and Jennifer Safran to the partnership; and promoting Chris Moore and Laura Peth to principal.

PENNSYLVANIA

RKL, Lancaster, announced four promotions: Danielle Bailey (pictured) was promoted to director of business and asset management; Deanna Higgins to director of administrative services; Jason Jones to manager in the financial services industry group; and Marco Angelone to manager in the audit services group.

SOUTH CAROLINA

Luanne Runge was named chief operating officer at Elliott Davis, Greenville.

TEXAS

Jeremy Belfiore was hired as assistant vice president of business development at 1^st Global, Dallas, where he will head recruiting initiatives.

WISCONSIN

Pete Sinsky was hired to lead the new Kenosha office at Vrakas CPAs + Advisors.
