EY appoints N.Y. managing partner; Draffin & Trucker promotes five; and other recent hires, promotions and personnel news from firms across the country.

GEORGIA

Sean Taylor was appointed managing partner at Smith & Howard, Atlanta, effective Jan. 1, 2019. Taylor, as part of the firm’s leadership transition plan, assumes the role from long-time manaing partner John Lucht, who will transition to a consultative role in 2019.

Nina Daigle (pictured) and Lindsey Pierce were promoted to partner at Antares Group, Conyers, where they have both worked in the Business and Tax Advisory Group for nine years.

Draffin & Tucker announced five promotions: in the Albany office, Ryan Chancey was promoted to senior in the health care and commercial practices, Savannah Spraggins to senior in the health care practice, and Tyler Roose to senior in the commercial practice; in the Atlanta office, Darin Lane was promoted to manager in the health care practice, and Mercedes McKoy to senior in the health care and commercial practices.

Kelly Baumgardner was hired as a health care consultant at Dean Dorton Allen Ford, Louisville.

MAINE

Colleen Oakley was hired as director of marketing at BerryDunn, Portland.

Lisa Benson (pictured) was hired as chief regional officer for Western markets, St. Louis, at HLB International, focusing on the North American and Western European member firms.

Herb Engert was appointed managing partner of the New York office at EY. Engert recently led the firm’s global private equity practice.

Carl Oliveri, a partner and construction practice leader at Grassi & Co., New York, was appointed president of the Construction Industry CPAs/Consultants Association.

Kimberly James was named a shareholder at Schneider Downs, Columbus.

Megan Eberhart was promoted to valuation manager at GBQ, Columbus. In other firm news: member Mallory Ashbrook earned the Certified Valuation Analyst designation; and Robert Biehl, director of construction industry services, was awarded the Institute of Certified Construction Industry Professionals Vision and Leadership Award at the National Construction Financial Management Association’s Annual Conference & Exhibition in Miami.

PENNSYLVANIA
