Tax and financial services technology company TaxSlayer, August, has added three new members to its leadership team. Chris Panagides as head of digital marketing; Marcella Garner as director of Project Management Office; and Josh Gaudin as head of strategic alliances and enterprise partnerships.

Lila Casper, a staff accountant in the Audit & Assurance Services Department of Sponsel CPA Group, has been appointed to the Audit Committee of Second Helpings, a Central Indiana nonprofit group that repurposes unused food for the hungry.

KANSAS

Jarett Sauer has joined Lewis, Hooper & Dick LLC, Garden City, as an associate. Sauer graduated from the University of Kansas with a BS in Business in 2016 and Master of Accounting in 2017, and was previously an intern with the firm.

INSOL is a worldwide federation of national associations for accountants and lawyers that focus their practices on turnaround and insolvency.

Patricia Daquila and Laurie Wolfe, CPAs and senior tax advisors at Lassus Wherley, New Providence, have earned the Certified Financial Planner certification from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. Daquila joined the firm in 1997, and Wolfe in 1995.

Rosemary Sereti has joined Deloitte Tax LLP as a managing director in its Washington National Tax tax controversy services practice. Sereti previously served as the deputy commissioner for the Large Business & International division at the IRS, and will advise Deloitte’s U.S. clients on identifying and resolving international and domestic tax issues, including the most recent IRS initiatives that impact LB&I taxpayers.

Danielle Rolfes has joined KPMG LLP as a partner in the firm's Washington National Tax practice, where she will be co-head of WNT's International Tax Group. She most recently served as international tax counsel at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
