Bloomberg announces new features for AI Assistant

Bloomberg TA
Bloomberg Tax and Accounting announced a bevy of new features for its AI Assistant. It now sports an integration with Bloomberg Tax news pages and articles, enabling users to interact with news articles to extract tax-related implications or track emerging developments without disrupting their workflow. This is on top of the tax content it already draws upon, such as Bloomberg Tax Portfolios. Users also can now access the AI Assistant across the entire Bloomberg Tax platform. Beyond that, users can now access iterative conversational research, chat history storage, jurisdictional filtering, and a chart builder for cross-jurisdictional tax comparisons, which serve to enable users to answer queries, gain insights, and manage jurisdiction-specific information without interrupting workflow.  The AI Assistant remains available at no additional cost to Bloomberg Tax subscribers and was developed in Bloomberg Tax's Innovation Studio, an experimental development environment that integrates user feedback to refine and optimize features.

Finance and accounting platform Sage debuted Tap to Pay in Sage Accounting, a new feature, powered by Stripe, that enables small businesses and sole traders to take in-person payments using only their mobile phone, via the Sage Accounting app. Users can accept contactless cards and digital wallets; and automatically reconcile payments in Sage Accounting. They no longer need additional card readers or payment terminals; and can access secure and compliant processing, powered by Stripe. This marks the latest step in Sage's partnership with Stripe, following last year's announcement to embed payment capabilities across its small business solutions.

Sage also announced the immediate availability of Sage Intacct in the brand-new AI Agents and Tools category of AWS Marketplace. Customers can now use AWS Marketplace to discover, buy and deploy AI agentic solutions, including Sage Intacct, Sage's AI-powered financial management solution for SMBs, using their AWS accounts, accelerating agent and agentic workflow development.
